Serial of teeth with an affected gum in it which is known as Gingivitis.

Gingivitis

Inflammation in gums results in a disease called Gingivitis. It is one of the most common oral issues by which every year lot of people get affected. It has to be treated on time if not, it will progress into a more serious oral condition called periodontics.
Poor oral hygiene over some time leads to a formation of a layer of plaque (caused by bacteria) on your tooth.

It gets accumulated on the teeth, and this is the most important cause of gum inflammation or Gingivitis and leads to tooth loss. As tooth loss is related to all chronic health conditions, it is crucial to treat this condition on time. Apart from poor oral hygiene, smoking, poor nutrition, hormonal changes, stress also can lead to Gingivitis.

Gingivitis-Dental connect

Poor oral hygiene leads to plaque - a thin film-like formation (not visible to the eyes) on the teeth. It mainly consists of bacteria. This plaque has to be removed daily by brushing; otherwise, it progresses into tartar, which is hard to remove and requires professional assistance.

The tartar acts as a productive layer for the accumulated bacteria. This bacterial infection causes irritation and inflammation on the gum line. Gingivitis treatment is important in avoiding  more severe oral disease called periodontitis and multiple tooth loss,
